What people are saying

"My son is 7 years old. He started his hockey development back in 2018 with Coach Justin through Brampton Hockey’s Learn to Play program. After covid, my son lost a lot of confidence in his skating and hockey abilities. Justin helped him build back his confidence, improved his skating and performance significantly and helped my son fall in love with the game all over again! We participated in Performance Hockey Academy’s winter, summer camps and the multiple development programs throughout the year. Coach Justin and his team of professional instructors really care about the young athletes and challenge them to work hard.

Coach Justin is not only a leader in Brampton hockey but also in our community with his multiple charitable initiatives throughout the year. On behalf of my family thank you to Performance Hockey for everything!"

“Great first weekend of hockey in the books. Good to see all the boys out there again and kudos to you and all your hard work. I really liked the stations you had planned out. A lot of the boys were looking sharp out there. This 2014 group is going to be a force to be reckoned with.”

"Justin was the Head Coach of the 2021-2022 U9 Brampton 45s AA team. Our son Arjun was on this team. At the start of our season we did not expect much success, given this was the first year of rep hockey, and the team was comprised of 30% U8 and 70% U9 kids. We believe we were the only team with so many under-age players. As the season moved forward Justin's coaching built a solid team that would be very competitive finishing with a winning record of 7-5-2 in the regular season.

With Justin's coaching our son Arjun became a AAA player for the 2022 U10 Credit River Capitals, as did 4 others from Justin's 2021-2022 team, the highest number of players from any city that Credit River U10 is comprised of. Justin has a true talent for assessing players/teams, coaching them to improve their weaknesses, ultimately making better hockey players, and even better teams. Seeing Arjun and the rest of the team develop, we decided to take Arjun to Justin's Performance Hockey Academy camp. This camp prepared Arjun to make the successful move to AAA where he is having a very good season."

"Our son Logan had the privilege of being on Coach Justin’s team last year, the Brampton 45’s U9 AA. He was an exceptional coach / mentor. He was able to put a competitive team together after a year of no hockey due to covid. Even with shutdowns, throughout the year he was able to keep the team / players focused on learning, development and staying excited for the sport of hockey.

He did a great job on and off the ice with the players and the parents. His practices were very organized, structured, and well delivered. The players gained confidence and developed skills that allowed the team to grow.  Several of the players he developed were able to try out and make the Credit River Capitals."

“I absolutely love what you do for these kids. They have smiles across their faces the entire day. Good job! I'm happy to be a part of it.”

"I have worked for Coach Justin many times over the past three years through summer camps, team practices, and development trainings and believe that he is an amazing person and coach. He believes in progression and is very knowledgeable of the sport. Throughout my experiences working with him through Performance Hockey Academy he knows every player by name and takes time during training to assist individuals and interact with everyone. Justin is constantly trying to introduce new aspects of the sport to the players he trains. All the kids look to Justin as a positive role model and enjoy themselves every time they are on the ice with him."

“I (we all) thank you for getting this program off the ground. It takes people like yourself to make this year happen for the kids – much appreciated.”

"We have known Justin for over 5 years as a Coach, Teacher, Mentor and Neighbour. In all these years I have always known Justin to a be a community-oriented individual. There is nothing he won’t do for his neighbours or his community. Justin and his wife spearhead all the community events in our neighborhood. We have had live bands come perform and movies played on his garage door, his family even rented a huge screen to watch movies in his backyard. Justin was also an integral part of our street winning “The Best Street in Canada award”. When someone is in need Justin is there.

Justin has been a positive influence/hockey mentor to both our boys Aaron and Michael. Justin has encouraged them to give back to the hockey community and volunteer their time at his clinics. He has also hired them for his summer hockey camps. Aaron and Michael describe Justin as a hard-working enthusiastic coach: “He actually gives a damn and wants them to get better” is what they keep expressing. An example of what calibre coach you would be getting is, when Justin had his team tryouts for a team, he went to every child’s house and personally presented their jersey to them. That was an awesome touch. The smiles and tears on their faces were priceless. You’re never too young to enjoy accomplishments and enjoy the moment.

As a teacher he has the reputation of being the cool teacher that all the kids can relate to. Also gives 100% to that passion and is helping educate, motivate and be a positive role model to the next generation."
